Yes, if your home insurance policy is with AXA, you are covered to work from home. So, if you are remote working, there’s no need to worry, as you will be protected by your home insurance.
Does home insurance cover my home office equipment?
Yes, your home office equipment is covered under your AXA home contents insurance policy. This is limited to office furniture, furnishings and office equipment, including documents, computer equipment and business telephone equipment.
If there is accidental damage or loss caused to your home office equipment, AXA will pay a limit of 10% of the contents sum insured, or €5,000, whichever is greater. This applies to home office equipment that is kept in the home, or any outbuilding or garage belonging to the home. So, if you have set up your home office in an outbuilding in your garden, you will still be covered. The most we will pay for any one claim, or item, is €2,000.
