When applying for an AXA home insurance quote online, the information required is similar to what you would need to supply when applying over the phone or in person. This includes details about your home, and the specific policy type you want. Lastly, we look for your personal details, such as your name, date of birth, email, and phone number. Once we have received this information, we can proceed to give you an estimated insurance quote.
What information do I need to give about my home?
We will need to know the basics about your home in order to give you a quote. These include the address, type of home, how many bedrooms it has, when it was built and the main type of heating in the home.
We also need information such as the estimated rebuilding cost, and/or the amount you would like to insure your contents for. These are two main factors which are considered when calculating your insurance premium.
Can I add optional extras and discounts online?
Much like when you apply for your insurance in person, once you give the details about your home and the type of insurance you want, you will then be asked about any discounts you may be eligible for. AXA offers our home insurance customers a range of different discounts, including a no claims bonus discount from your first year claims free and a careful homeowner discount. Also, as a thank you for getting your insurance premium online, we automatically apply a 15% discount.
Similarly, when completing the online form for your home insurance, you will be presented with the option of choosing some of our optional extras. These allow you to customise your insurance further to your individual needs and will increase the coverage of your home insurance policy at an additional cost.
