How does buying home insurance work?

Purchasing your home insurance with AXA is a similar process to how you would purchase other insurance policies, such as car or van insurance. You begin by applying for your insurance using your preferred method - online, visiting our local branches or by calling us on 0818 736 524.

During the application process, you will be able to choose your preferred insurance policy, level of coverage and any optional extras you would like to include. We will then ask you various questions about your home and/or any content you would like to insure, which will help us quote your insurance premium.

Once you have accepted the insurance quote and have paid the premium, your home insurance will take effect. Once your home is insured, you can then have peace of mind that if the unexpected happens, AXA are here to help.

How do I make a claim on my home insurance?

When an unexpected incident happens, we understand this can be a stressful time. This is why AXA have made the claims process as easy as possible for you, in hopes to alleviate some of this stress.

When it comes time to make a claim, you have three different ways to do so. Firstly, you can do so by filling out our online claims form. All we need is a brief description of the claim, along with your phone number and a time which is most suitable for us to contact you. We will then contact you for further information to continue the claims process.

You can also speak directly with a member of our dedicated team to start your claims process, either by visiting one of our local branches or ringing us on 0818 7 365 24. Here, a member of our team will be able to guide you through the claims process.
